Creativity is a key part of the “DNA” of CATHARSIS Nashville. We want to be a healing resource for musicians and artists, as well as other Highly Sensitive Persons. After we build and open our center (a few years down the road), our annual fundraiser will be a musical theatre production in which clients, therapists, and community members can all participate together.
Because David and I are musicians, so far our main fundraising events have been benefit concerts. However, we would like to feature visual artists, too!
We are planning a week-long Art Show & Silent Auction during September 14-21 at the Center for Contemplative Justice (CCJ), which is the warehouse-type building behind The Café at Thistle Farms on Charlotte Pike.
Would you—or someone you know—like to contribute a painting or other type of artwork for this event? You could either donate it outright, or you could designate which percentages of the proceeds you’d like to go to CATHARSIS and to you as the artist.
To get started, please fill out this signup sheet. We look forward to seeing and celebrating your work, and we’d be grateful to enlist your support for a wonderful cause!
